Home is where Family is ~ CSI Colour Inspiration Challenge

Hello lovely people,
I  have joined in with the challenge at CSI Colour Inspirations. The case I have decided to document (inspired by my friend Libeeti ) is

I  have used the colour palette and the theme of Home. To me Home is where family is , so I have documented a family  Easter. Unfortunately  as is the way when children grow up ,not all the family could be home . 

I have used flowers and grid paper as my evidence .

I think my layout looks better IRL , as the colours are more vibrant. However it is winter and the days have been overcast & sometimes layouts just don't photograph as you have hoped.

Best Friends ~ Scrap The Boys

My son just adores Boo, she is such a beautiful dog, and she has become part of the extended family.

Boo has been a blessing for Joe.

Cousins ~ Archiscraps June Challenge

Challenge at Soul Scrappers

Hello !
Popping in to share a layout for a challenge at Soul Scrappers called Pick 3. You choose to pick from a list what you use on your layout. From the list I chose a Frame (well I went a little frame crazy ) , butterfly and flowers. Brads was also on the list and I have also added a brad to my layout. The butterfly was sent to me from my pen pal in Ireland.

It was good to use up some frames and flowers I have in my stash.

In the photo I am nursing one of my cousins at my Aunts place.  I remember the dress I am wearing as one of my favourites. My Mum made it and it was brown with bright orange long stich on it. Those legs , so skinny !
I have also added a wax seal, they are so addictive to make.

Scrap the Girls May Challenge ~ Forever Friends

Hello ! It is a cold , rainy day here , perfect for staying inside and scrapping ( but not so great for photo taking). I thought I would join in with this months challenge at Scrap the Girls which is a lovely sketch that appealed to me.

Forever Friends

My daughter and her friends at her Baby Shower, which we got in just in the nick of time , as the following week our new Granddaughter surprised us all by arriving 6 weeks early .

Such a beautiful group of friends, it is a joy to be around when they are all together, so much happiness, laughter, noise, talking . They are a very tight group and have been friends since they started school.

Scrap the Boys~ May Challenge

Hello !
Today I am back to share my layout for the challenge at Scrap the Boys . This Sunday being Mothers Day in Australia the challenge is celebrating Motherhood.

I had a search through my photos to find a photo of me with both my boys . This photo was actually taken on Mothers Day 2016

Its not the best photo , ( I was going to journal ...geez boys you both could have had a shave and dressed up a bit, but then I  realized the main thing is that we were together and one made a trip from Sydney just to be there.  It was a lovely day and the best gift was having my family around me.

As a Mother the best thing is being able to look at your children and realize you have raised Kind, Gentle , Honest Humans . I'm one lucky Mumma.
Lizzy the flair you made me quite awhile ago was perfect, and you also gifted me the tissue paper with hearts under the photo and Bec Loved using  the Wax Seal also .

Zurich ~ Archiscraps Challenge

Hello !

Today I am popping in to share my take on the current challenge at Archiscraps which is ~ Use Black, Yellow and white and a clock.

I have white and black as a border for my photo, Yellow Hessian and yellow in the serviette transfer at the top . I have used clock washi tape, a fussy cut clock and a clock in the photo.

I am always happy to get another travel photo documented. Zurich is beautiful , if you ever get the chance to go there I recommend it.

I really enjoy the beginning of a new month as I always feel inspired with new challenges.

When Nothing is Sure , Everything is possible ~ Archiscraps

Hello ! 
Yesterday I had a lovely day in Bathurst ( The next town to us about 3/4 of a hour away) with my friend Bec. We visited a scrapbooking shop , had a lovely lunch and then visited Spotlight. When I arrived home there were some Doily Die cuts in the mail from Lizzy. So armed with new papers and the Doily Dies I was inspired to create a layout for the current challenge at Archiscaps, which is squeeze something inbetween.

I have squeezed the doilies inbetween the layers of pattern papers & lace.

This is my Mum, Aunt and Grandmother ( not sure who the lady is on the end ) They may not have had much money or possesions , but they knew how to be classy. Life was hard, but simple and they made their own fun.

I received the lovely dandelion seal from Bec . Thanks so much for calling by, I love to read any comments and appreciate them.

Life was meant for a Great Adventure ~ Challenge Yourself and Memories ~ Soul Scrappers

Hello , been awhile since I have blogged , but today I have a couple of travel pages to share ( I think I have itchy feet again )
Firstly the Challenge over at Scrap Challenge yourself is to do a layout of your favourite holiday 

I love all holidays as I think they all have something special to remember . But I chose our trip in 2008 as it was our first European Holiday . We went away for nearly 9 weeks with my Best friend and her hubby and visited several countries, so many amazing memories were made and treasured.

A few close ups. I tried to re create the scene with all the greenery, leaves and water .

And now another travel layout for a TTT  over at Soul Scrappers

I chose ~ One Word Title, diecuts and postage stamps

My Husband and son in Rome . This was special as our son was living overseas at the time and we got to spend 4 days in Rome with him after not seeing him for nearly two years.

Stirling Castle Scotland ~ White with One

Hello ! The good thing about the beginning of a new month is the inspiration to create layouts from the prompts on challenge sites.
I was inspired to scrap one of my travel photos from the prompt at White with One , which this month is Royal Blue

Only problem is in the light of day one of the mists looks more teal :( 

Never the less it inspired me to get another travel page completed so I am happy about that.

SCRAP GIRLS FEB CHALLENGE

Hello !

Today I would like to share my take on the challenge at Scrap The Girls , which is .....

I find scrapping in brights difficult , but loved the quote, so thought I would give it a go.

When I read the quote two people came to my mind..... My Mother and my daughter. I originally created the layout with a photo of my Mum and then discovered I had already scrapped the same photo (does anyone else do that ?) , So I changed the photo for a photo of my daughter.

 . My daughter is and my Mother was both Strong, capable women, both stubborn and don't put up with any nonsense.

I have been playing with magicals for the first time, they are wonderful to use and I can see myself ordering some more colours. I added some stamping amongst the magicals and texture.

A Dogs Purpose ~ Challenge Yourself

Hello , Hello 

The new challenge over at Challenge yourself is .....

I pondered on this for awhile and  whilst on my morning walk it hit me ~ "A Dogs Purpose " . My son posted the photo of Boo looking very pleased with her morning efforts of getting wet and dirty and I just loved the cheeky look on her face .
Boo certainly brings a lot of joy to our family , we all can't help but love her , even when she can be a little bit naughty and have selective hearing lol.  

  I have used old packaging and old PP's behind my photo and layered them. The Hello is a PL card.

and to cover the criteria of being in the photo I have added a little photo when Boo came for a visit ( thankfully nice and clean )

Our Granddaughter turned 21 last weekend. I think it's fair to say she got a surprise with our gift of a Harbour Bridge Climb
