JOT MAGAZINE MOOD BOARD CHALLENGE ~ DON'T EVER LET ANYONE DULL YOUR SPARKLE

Two posts in the one day! But I have a few posts to go up over the next few days , being a new month.
I really liked this mood board from Jot Magazine's Challenge

ARCHI SCRAPS CHALLENGE

Hello
I am getting this one in with little time to spare. I got home from work and did the layout , but the light was not the best by the time I got to take the pic. I loved the colours in the challenge at Archiscaps

and in the town where I live Autumn puts on a spectacular display, so I was determined to do this challenge

I am not happy with the colour, but will take a better pic tomorrow, but just wanted to get it in , in time
This is a layout I did last year, but displays the beautiful Autumn colours

Yes that is frost on the ground . Our son needed a photo for the cover of the newspaper he works for and couldn't get anyone else who was willing to get up and be in the park at 6.30 am at minus something degrees, yep that is when parents come in handy.

Love and Peace and keep warm this weekend

IF I COULD I WOULD........ ANOTHER FREAKING SCRAPPY CHALLENGE

Hello,
I have been wanting to do this challenge over at Another
freaking scrappy Challenge ~ what did you want to be when you grew up , so Lizzy  I told you I would let you know when I did this challenge so what wish I could do would to be able to ...........

sing! or play a musical instrument.  Yep I think it would be amazing to have thousands of people in the palm of your hand . I have a journalling card tucked in the side of the photo along with our U2 Tickets.
The journalling card reads ~ I would so love to be able to sing or play a musical instrument. Music unites people, it communicates and evokes emotions. Imagine having the audience in the palm of your hand.
For the record ( get it, Oh I crack myself up, and I didn't even realize it )  I am possibly the WORST singer EVER! Just ask my kids that had to endure me singing at the top of my lungs on road trips when they were little :)
There is a lot of messy stitching and stamping on this layout
guitar and musical note charm . The red edged flower boarder is scrapmatts that I have inked red, they have the most gorgeous products

Washi Tape & misting

Thanks so much for calling by, hope your weekends a good one, please let me know you called

LITTLE BOOK OF TREASURES ~ CHALLENGE AT DO MORE WITH LESS

Hello ,
I came across this challenge at Do More With Less  that really appealed to me. I like making little books out of left over PP and bits and pieces, a great way to use up stash. So I really liked the challenge by Shahrul and decided to make a little book of our time at Patmos, and chose to call it a treasure book as it holds treasured memories in it. The challenge criteria ~ has to have some stitching
Excuse my fingers in the pics, but my book got a little fat, as I kept adding. The idea of using doilies and lace throughout the book is because it signifies beauty , love and grace, just like Mary in the book
I liked Shahrul's idea of capturing memories between plastic sleeves ( I have used transparency) as I just had these pressed flowers stuck in a art journal before

The Beautiful Mary and John
Mary and John's home where we spent every night chatting and enjoying their company
And evenings before dinner chatting and having a drink on the patios

Beautiful Mary in her garden
The most amazing cook

The most amazing day , meeting Freda, The Captain, Arani, and Michael. There was lots of laughing, loud Greek talking and we felt so welcomed

Our Ferry timetable is in the window envelope and the Captain and Freda , and having lunch with them
The Journalling says ~ They lead a simple life, that is embroidered with the riches of Beauty, Love, Serenity, Grace and Kindness ~ Beautiful Souls

Our Ferry tickets enclosed in transparency

I know it has been photo heavy, but I hope you have enjoyed my little book of treasured memories. Sorry some of the pics are not real clear, it is overcast here today, but if you click on the image it will be clearer for you
Thank you for dropping by

SCRAP AROUND THE WORLD CHALLENGE ~ SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO CHILL

Morning! hope you are all enjoying your weekend thus far. Helen Tilbury has started a new challenge site Scraparoundtheworld  and I was drawn to the challenge by the colours of the challenge. I love Turquoise & I think the sketch is pretty cool as well

I had this photo of my DD I wanted to scrap so this seemed perfect

The turquoise reminds me of summer and the beads I have used as inspiration for droplets of water, using little coloured gems given to me by the lovely Kerri Smith  ages ago. I have also used my favourite colour glimmermist Patina and gesso reminding me of water and droplets of glams glitter paint. The chevrons are from Scrapmatts and I have gessoed them and painted with Glitter glam Paint> I have also picked up the colour from the moodboard of the brown/mustard colour that is also the colour of the wall in my photo

The washi which I have gessoed over and little black beads are from Craftqueen
Teresa Collins brads, which I love

The skies are grey and overcast here today, so the Background PP from Kaiser is a little more teal in colour.
I am going to the movies today, hope you enjoy your day. Pop over and check out Helen's new challenge site and also love you to join us in the challenges at Orange Paperie & ColorMeScrappy

NEW CHALLENGE AT COLORMESCRAPPY ~ THE FLOUR MILL

Morning on this lovely Autumn Day , As I look our my window it is a rainy day and the leaves that are still left on the trees are orange and gold, a great day to do some scrapping.
The new challenge has been posted at Colormescrappy and it is a beauty, I love the colours and I love getting messy with mists/inks/paint
The twist ~ to use Inks, Mists or paint

I have scrapped a photo from a very special time on Patmos Island and this day turned out to be a amazing day for us. Finding our friends Grandfathers flour Mill also led us to meeting their Aunties and Uncle and Cousin. They made us so welcome , we had such a fun day with them.

It was fun reading back in my travel diary the adventure of that day

I have inked the edges of my banner and layers & added some splashed of glimmermist

Thank you for calling , I hope you get to do something you enjoy today, & I hope you can join us at colormescrappy

Peace, and Love

THE PHOTOGRAPHER ~ SKETCH CHALLENGE AT SKISSEDILLA

Good Afternoon on this rainy Autumn day in Orange . The layout I am sharing today is for the sketch Challenge over at Skissedilla. I really like their arty sketches and enjoyed doing this layout

This is a photo of my Second Eldest Son who is a photographer. I added the washi tape and words and swiped gesso over them . I used the Music strip washi tape as he is also in two bands and has a love of music

But then I found this quote which I really loved as I think it sums him up. I really liked the layout as it was , but I wanted the quote, so I added it
Its about telling the story isn't it after all

Thanks so much for calling by, I love to know you have been
