Hello on this Wet, wet day, gosh I don't think I have seen so much rain!
I am up at Meg's Blog today and here to share with you a new range at Meg's Garden called "Vintage Journal".
Anyone that knows me , knows that I do like a bit of Vintage, actually I like it a lot 

Four Generations

This is a photo of my husband with his Dad and two Grandfathers , pretty special.

I have actually fussy cut the book image from the 4 x 6 strip that comes with Megs 12 x 12 Papers and added a ribbon and bead from Megs Shop to look like a book mark. If you pop over to the blog, I have explained how I put my layout together and the products I have used from Megs Shop

I FEEL BETTER WHEN I'M DANCING ~ SCRAP IT WITH A SONG

Hello ! Well I have just returned from a  3 nights away with some lovely friends, scrapping in the mountains. 
Lizzy has documented our 3 nights perfectly, so if you wish, pop over to Lizzy's blog to see what we got up to :)

Last night I discovered Scrap it with a Song challenge for this month has a song "I feel better when I'm dancing " as one of the choices and seeing I have a Grand daughter who dances I knew I would like to join in the challenge. Scraping in by the skin of my teeth (odd saying)

I was a little frustrated though , as I could not get the layout to photograph it's true colour. The background is actually more red.

all the embellishments , besides the music button which is from Craftqueen and the music notes which I had in my stash are from Lizzy, who on the weekend gave me a bag full of goodies :)

I quite like using this pleated paper effect to add a little something and I don't know what has come over me, but I have gone quite cas again.
I am at a crossroads with my scrapping at the moment I think, not sure where it is going or if it will continue to go at all .

Today the weather was quite nice , so I had a lovely walk with my  Grand Daughter. Tomorrow the weather is suppose to be awful again :( So over the cold

BEST FRIENDS FOREVER ~ ANNA'S CRAFT CUPBOARD COLOUR CHALLENGE

Hello, 
Yes I am still doing everything besides what I SHOULD be doing and that is packing for a few days away with some lovely friends scrapping. 
So I am here to share a layout for the Colour Challenge At Anna's Craft Cupboard

It has a lovely Spring feeling to it. I went with the pink colours and flowers

The background paper looks much pinker in real life.
 I have kept this layout quite clean and simple (don't know what is coming over me ) . However I think that is what the layout called for and i was happy with how it turned out.
The gorgeous heart flair is from StudioFourteen40.

THIS MAGIC MOMENT ~ SOUL SCRAPPERS LYRIC CHALLENGE

Good evening ! 
Tonight I would like to share a layout for the song lyric challenge over at Soul Scrappers
The song is "This Magic Moment" Well I have gone all romantic for this one lol. I recently found a engagement photo of my husband and I and seeing we are looking lovingly into each other eyes ( yep early days , I joke ) I thought it suited the lyrics .

I have had this paper forever and have been keeping it for something special ,as it is so me and finally I use it.
I kept the layout very simple as the paper is so busy.

So there we are two love birds :) 

I am lucky enough to be going on a road trip in a few days with some friends ~ Rebecca, Lizzy, Jo and Cheryl , we have booked a house at the Blue Mountains and we are going to have three days of Scrapping together. 

We have all set challenges and I am kind of cheating as my challenge is to use a quote or song lyrics on your layout ( so I have this challenge done and dusted already :) 

Apart from this I am totally unorganised and starting to panic a little. You know a scrappers dilema ~ what to take, what not to take . Never the less I am just looking forward to the time away with these girls.

HAPPY ~ WILD AND FREE ~ A 2 Z SCRAPLETS

I hope you have had a lovely day, tonight I would like to share a layout for A 2 Z Scraplets. I have used the current moodboard again for my inspiration

Happy 

 I have taken the word Happy from the A 2 Z Scraplets "Happy Easter " word pack and used it as my title, embossed with zing embossing powder and added a couple of little flowers.

The flair is from Funky Flairs and the wild and free tab is from StudioFourteen40. The Follow your Bliss embellishment is from Typo ,as it the Eiffel Tower , heart and Admit One embellishment.

GREATEST DAD EVER ~ ARTASTIC CHALLENGE

The second reveal is up at ARTastic and the girls have really rocked the challenge.
The challenge this month is a tribute to Dad

This month we feature this delightful piece by Donald James Waters called Spot on.  Our criteria is a Tribute to Dad - any Dad anyway you might like to portray them.

Greatest Dad Ever

Lots of layers, stamping , washi tape . The covered button I made ages ago . I used the dried tea leave technique again , I really love the texture it gives . You can find the technique on Marta's Youtube channel

Thanks so much for calling by . It seems to be taking me forever to catch up on things from being away. I guess there is only so many hours in the day and when you factor work into the day as well. Not looking good for the ironing anytime soon .

CHERISH EVERY MOMENT ~ ANOTHER FREAKING SCRAPPY CHALLENGE & MEMORIES ARE A TIMELESS TREASURE OF THE HEART ~ SOUL SCRAPPERS

Hello !
Well still catching up , so tonight I will do two posts in one. I am suffering from holiday hangover ( I want to still be there ) . I always feel restless when I come home from a holiday, as it makes me want to move near the beach. Oh well never mind, I still live in a beautiful part of the world (even if it is cold and doesn't have a beach)
Enough rambling
The current challenge over at AFSC is to use red on your layout

Cherish every moment

this is a photo of my daughter when she was little with my Dad. I hope you find time to join us in the challenge. Red always looks stunning on layouts I think.

Next I want to share a layout that I have done for the quote challenge at Soul Scrappers that I have set. The challenge is to do a layout with a quote of a special male in your life.

Memories are timeless treasures of the heart

My son captured this photo of my Dad taking a piece of wood up for the fire. A very common everyday memory of my Dad. He lived until 92 and slipping down to the wood heap was a good way to have a smoke, sitting on his block of wood , which now lives in my garden (even in his 90's he would get in trouble from Mum for smoking ( he smoked from the age of about 14 apparently) he did give it up several times in his later years.

TOGETHER IS THE BEST ~ A 2 Z SCRAPLETS

I have been away on a lovely coastal holiday for the past week. It was just what the doctor ordered, but now I must catch up on my commitments and visiting blogs to leave some love.

I have used the gorgeous "Together is the best " chippy from A 2 Z Scraplets as my title , which I have embossed with Zing embossing powder
The "Be wild" flair and feather arrow are from Funky Flairs as is the feather dream catcher. I misted the chevron pattern using a stencil.

TOP PADDOCK ~ ARCHISCRAPS SEPT CHALLENGE

Hello !
Well a new month and the beginning of Spring here in Australia. I for one am looking forward to some warmer days ahead.
The new Challenge at Archiscraps this month is all about windmills

and because I am a literal person , that is exactly what I did my layout on 

I drive pass this windmill on my way to and from work. I enjoyed creating this layout as it brought back memories that we had a windmill in our yard when I was growing up.

I layered dried tea bag paper under my photo and also popped a little piece of cardboard poking out the bottom under the flair. The Top Paddock tag was on a gift from my Sister in law , and I just happened to find it whilst doing the layout ..... Perfect !
