Heritage Journal ~ Megs Garden ~ Sherlock Journal Vol 11

Good Morning on this brisk day here, winter is certainly about to make its presence Known well and truly !

The Family is one of Nature's masterpieces ~ 123 Blog Challenge

Good Morning ,
Today I am sneaking in a layout for the challenge at 123 Challenge Blog before the end of the month. This challenge appealed to me

Say Cheese 

If you hadn't guessed this is the family together for Easter, only the son in law missing as he was on night duty and sleeping.

The flair in the top corner is from Funky Flair Studio and I was happy to use papers from a 6 inch pad for my layers (they seem to breed at my house ) 

I used a little star stencil . I enjoyed creating this and I loved the fact I used up old stash.

LONDON IN SPRING ~ CHALLENGE YOURSELF

Hello ! Today I would like to share my take on the challenge at Challenge Yourself . This month it is a moodboard challenge

I chose the SpringBreak square, although I have to say I had to go searching for a photo. I have photo's of beautiful blossoms, but none with me in them. ( Maybe I should have chosen the beach prompt, but same problem , I take lots of photo's of scenery, but of course I am taking the photo, so can hardly be in them lol. 
But not to be defeated , I  ended up chosing this photo of me at Kensington Gardens in 2015 , and it would have been Spring time in Europe.

I have used the Kaiser Wildflower collection. I don't know if it is just me , but I do find pastel's hard to photograph.

I am also joining in with Marta's #52 Cafe Cards , which is , Marta gives a prompt for every letter in the alphabet. The prompt for S was Spring, so this is the tag I created which also inspired the layout.

I hope you pop over to the Challenge Yourself blog, they are a lovely bunch of gals and I like to support their challenges.
I would also like to share with you some just because layouts, that I don't think I have previously shared.

A 2 Z SCRAPLETS DT LAYOUTS

Good morning lovelies, Today I would like to share a couple of my DT layouts for A2Z Scraplets using their fabulous chipboard.
Firstly , Graduation

Be true to yourself, trust your heart

The Graduation Chipboard piece is perfect for my layout to use as a title. I treated it with gesso and then painted it with a black Perlen pen, which gives a nice glossy finish.

I kept this layout quite simple and clean lines ( not my usual style) but sometimes this is how the layout goes and needs.  It is funny how a layout starts at times. I had just got home and had purchased a pack of PL cards from the reject shop (like I need more PL cards ) and they were sitting on my desk. I decided on my photo and picked the paper and thought hmmmm that top PL card would go nicely , tying in the green foilage on the photo and card .... tick

I have a little tray on my desk with bits and bods and a lot of the embellishements came from it. I picked up the flower I had made and thought hmmm that goes nicely with Amelia's sprakly dress, then the Leaves are earrings that I found and the top sparkly leaf is a clip on earring that was my Mums.

I was really happy with how this turned out.

Boo certainly does make us smile and be happy :)  For the chipboard piece I painted it with Dylusions London Blue paint , I also used this on my page along with yellow mist

the little yellow beads are from my Mums craft stash. I have also used the A2Z Scraplets staggered brick stencil with texture paste.

ARTASTIC

Good Morning !
Today I am sharing my layout for the challenge at ARTastic . This month is a heads up to Mothers Day here in Australia and the criteria is flowers.

The inspiration is a painting by a New Zealand artist Michael Sass Called The Garden

My Mum with my Eldest and Youngest. Mum was a avid gardener , she loved spending time in her garden.

I like to rip old doilies and use them. Flair is from Funky Flair Studio .

PIXELS AND PAPER ~SMILE

Hello ! this afternoon I would like to share a layout for the challenge at Pixels and Paper . The criteria is Vintage / Shabby Chic, which is a style I really love.

I found this old photo of my daughter, that was carted around in my wallet for many a year, so it is a bit tattered and worse for wear, but I still love it, I love the big smile on her face.

I'm pretty sure most of the embellishments are from a kit from Funky Flair Studio ( makes it so easy to put a layout together. The smile chipboard is from Scrapmatts.
I have had this pretty PP from Fab Scraps for ages, just waiting for the perfect photo. It is such pretty paper .

SCRUFFY ~ ANOTHER FREAKING SCRAPPY CHALLENGE

New Month , New Challenges ~ Archiscraps
