SMILE ~ NEW CHALLENGE AT A2Z SCRAPLETS

Hello fellow scrappers, 
Gosh another new month, the time is just flying by. I have a new challenge to share with you. A sketch challenge at A2Z Scraplets

and this is my take

Smile

I have used the A2Z Scraplets smile wordlet as my title and I have coloured it with Enamel Accents. If you pop over to the A2Z Scraplets Blog you will see a link to the words in the  Shop

The flairs are from Funky Flair Studio and the leaves are from the $2 shop. The Pattern Paper I have had forever! I thought it suited the colour theme for Autumn, so one day everything has its purpose. The cobwebbing and tiny thread is from Craftqueen.

A2Z SCRAPLETS DT LAYOUTS

Hello ! 
 We have been away for a few days in Qld for my Best Friends Daughters wedding. We had such a nice time and felt honoured to be part of such a special day. The weather was divine, sitting on the deck at night in short sleeves relaxing. We have come home to rain, jumpers, heater :(
Never mind , such is life.
So to share a couple of layout using A 2 Scraplets chipboard

As a family we meet and have fish and chips in the Park on Good Friday and I snapped this photo of my Beautiful Grand daugher.

Mothers Day

the Gypsy child surpirsed me last Mothers Day and came home, which was lovely. The Mothers Day Chipboard piece was perfect for the layout.

A LIFE FULL OF LOVE ~ SHOW US YOUR STUFF

Hello on this Easter Sunday, we had a lovely lunch and family day and now all the kidlets have left and I have crept into my scrap room.  I thought I would share my layout for Show Us Your Stuff
The challenge is 

I really enjoyed creating this and I think I have the criteria covered

A Life full of Love

I had this photo laying around on my desk , as I had cut it off from another photo I have scrapped . Even though it is a tiny photo now, I still love the photo of my Aunt being my Mum's bridesmaid, so I thought why not .

My handmade item is my tag. I made it from cardboard from a box . I painted it with black gesso and then added mists and splatters of mist. I used left over chipboard negatives to frame the image and to add dimension.

I have washi tape and stitching. Pattern paper , old stash.
I technically have texture paste on my page, I just scraped it off , and it is in the end of the old lace doily  ( so still there )
and definately made with love. 
My Auntie Nanie I loved very much. She had a placid personality and gave the best hugs ever.

BE YOURSELF ~ CHALLENGE YOURSELF

Good morning on this Good Friday
Today I would like to share a layout for the challenge at Challenge Yourself  and the challenge is.....

My Grandson inspires me everyday. 

I came across this on facebook and think it says it perfectly

Be yourself chippy which I have embossed is from A2Z Scraplets they have the most amazing selection of chipboard to choose from, something for everything.

I have the word inspired if you look above it is in the pattern paper , it says "Be inspired to live the life of your dreams "

FAMILY ~ SKETCHY BOARDS CHALLENGE

Hello scrappy friends,
Today I would like to share a layout for the current challenge at Sketchy Boards
The sketch....

and the colour palette

I really am not that fond of scrapping Purple, but something appealed to me , so who knows

I struggled with this one for awhile, but I completely changed my background paper and that made such a difference ( and this is really old paper) I took away a big gold heart doily and that was another improvement. In the end I was surprisingly happy with the outcome.

Now my husband took a interest in this one . He said he really liked the photo as we are all smiling , we are all in it (it was the first time for awhile ) and then he said......

You should leave your glasses on , because you are getting old and that is how I see you all the time now , with your glasses on. OK he should have stopped there ! Then he said that I looked like a Hooker ! I look like a Hooker I said . Yeah he said, you look so small , you look like you are in the middle of a scrum, (he is a old footballer ) Glad he cleared that one up ! My husband really has a way with words

BUSH LIFE ~ A2 Z SCRAPLETS

Hello ! 
I would like to share a couple of layouts with you tonight. Firstly my DT layout for A2Z Scraplets using the fab chipboard title "Bush Life"

Where else but the bush would you get photo bombed by a calf and dog saying hello to each other lol . The photo is of my hubby.

Next a layout for the challenge at Home and Scrapped to use your stash with the theme History. Well I do love a bit of vintage. I was torn last night in wanting to watch a Show on TV and Scrap, so  what does one do ? I actually did this sitting on the lounge :)

This is a photo of both sets of my Grand Parents with one of my brothers , I would say at his First Communion. 
I used some old A4 Prima "Pintery " Pattern Paper and simply ripped it into pieces and then placed them here and there until I was happy with the effect. I also used some PL Cards to add layers. Everything I used is old stash, so always feels good to use things up.

I used the original photo ( after I scanned it ) I like the small size and the aged look , even though the quality is not so good.

ONCE UPON A SPRINGTIME ~ ANOTHER FREAKING SCRAPPY CHALLENGE

Good afternoon ,

Today I would like to share with you the new challenge over at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge ...... which is to scrap a layout about Easter or Spring. I decided to combine them both

My Mum with my Grandchildren Easter 2008.

Gosh and it is nearly Easter Again. I think we will be having easter at home as I will have all the family home this year. I am a little excited as my daughter and her fiance will be here NEXT WEEK to settle back in her home town :) One happy Mumma :)
What is left of your Sunday I hope you enjoy, I intend to catch up on some snail mail as I had to work this morning and feeling a little tired to bother with too much else.
