Hello !
There is a new challenge site on the block. A lovely bunch of girls and the site is Kraft Plus
So if you love creating with a Kraft base I recommend you join in on the challenges.
The very first challenge is ~
Mango Breeze Colour Inspiration challenge.
*please note, this is NOT a mood board where you have to use the photo as inspiration,
this is purely a colour challenge. You can add touches of black, white or neutral for titles and journalling etc and you don't necessarily have to use ALL of the colours.
It is up to you how you interpret the challenge.
Well my Fiji photo's came to mind or Patmos Island and this is what I came up with lol
Mum and the Aunts
Yep not tropical at all. For some reason I picked the photo up and thought lets see if I can make vintage work with the colour palette.
Not sure I pulled it off , but there you have it.
The gorgeous flair is from StudioFourteen40, the little flower braid was my Mums as are the threads. The flower is from a win over at Scrapbookit ( another challenge site I suggest to join in with )
I used gelato's and water paints to get my colours.
Now if you are not interested in the history of the photo I suggest you skip from here on in .
My Mum is the lady in the front on the left looking at the photo. I will have to journal about my Other aunts and add to the back. The lady behind Mum is my Aunt Molly who was married to Mum's Brother Harry. The next two ladies are my Aunt Alice and Aunt Mary and they are sisters who never married. The photo made me remember that I have that fur ( but then again I may have given it to my daughter, must ask her ) I also have a stole fox thing with the fox's head still on it ! It is way up the top of the wardrobe. I can't bring myself to like something that an animal had to die for the sake of fashion ! It would be an antique though I would say.
Anyway the next lady is My Aunty Dot (my kids used to call her Dot Dot) and she is Mum's sister , I loved her dearly. The little boy is my cousin Peter and I am not sure who the lady on the end is, I will have to ask my cousin. My Aunt Alice travelled quite a bit and I have some lovely bits and pieces from her trips.
So pop over and check out the new Challenge site and be inspired by the DT's work
Love and Peace
Mary x
