YOU LIFT ME UP ~ CHALLENGE YOURSELF

Hello !
Today I would like to share with you my take on the challenge at Challenge yourself , which is .....

I have been working on a TN of late, documenting a get away to the Blue Mountains with some lovely friends and came across a photo of us all together which I decided needed to have a page created for it. I then thought of the challenge at Challenge Yourself and I was inspired to create the page. 

Social media does my head in at times (except instagram, I love instagram) but one thing I am grateful for is meeting these ladies through social media ~ Scrapbooking . We have become great friends and the last couple of  years we have met up in the Mountains for a few days to create and just basically enjoy each others company.This is now a annual event and something we look forward to greatly. Each year gets better. 

The challenge to use the words "You lift me up"  I think this is exactly what these gorgeous girls do. They are always available to give advice , or lend a ear and they are honest with their advice and opinions. We know we are there for each other and they make me see things in a different way if I am on a downer.  I am very blessed to have them in my life.
I haven't used flowers on a layout for awhile (don't know whats going on there ) and I recently became the recipient of two huge boxes of Scrapbooking supplies from my Niece who has moved back to Australia from the USA after living over there for nearly 30 years ! and she no longer has time to craft. Lucky me! and this is one of the packets of flowers, I used the packaging as a mat for my photo.
Bec gave me the cork heart and Cheryl gave me the flair I believe.
Whoops just realized it is "Raise me up" not "lift me up", oh well same difference.

I kept my layout quite simple as the PP is so pretty.

I used the top line

I have "The List " tag at the top of my photo, stenciled some snowflakes with a stencil and texture paste and have some gold sequins as my rhinestones.

I created the layout with the Xmas kit from Funky Flair Studio.

Soul Journey 2018 ~ Art and Soul Studio

Hello !
Today I would like to share my take on Fiona Paltridge's tutorial at Soul Journey 2018 , hosted by Art and Soul Studio.
I really enjoyed creating this. My niece recently gifted me two HUGE boxes of scrapbooking goodies and I have used some of them here .

I have used photos from my Mum's photo album of my Great, Great Grandmother, My Mum and my Dad

 I placed my Mum's photo to the side of the tag as when I read the words of the scrap piece of PP the words could attribute to Mum. She loved her Garden, a Mothers Love and the Queen ! So I decided not to cover the words up.

I love the little bubble clip ( not sure what to call it lol ) which I placed a photo of Dad and Mum in when they were courting .

HAVE A WONDERFUL LIFE ~ SCRAP THE GIRLS

 Hello on this hot , hot day in Australia. Today I would like to share my take on the current challenge at Scrap the Girls, which is a moodboard.

I was inspired by the blues and the quote, to scrap one of the photo's from our Daughter's recent wedding

The PP is from Megs Garden. Under the photo I painted with  Distressed Ink and Distress Oxide to give different blue hues. The Moment in Time Chipboard piece I had embossed with silver for a previous layout and didn't use it, so I went over this with some distress ink and distress oxide as well to give a blue colour to the chipboard.

I added some stamping, enamel dots and washi tape.

DECORATING THE TREE ~ SCRAP THE BOYS

Hello lovely people , today I would like to share a layout for the challenge at Scrap the Boys and the challenge is to use flowers on your layout.
I love this photo of my Grandson decorating the tree

I have had the PP for ages as I loved the image so much I was afraid to use it, but there comes a time !

A Close up of my use of flowers and I always love me a reindeer :) The Tag with the Star was a gift from my lovely Pen Pal from Ireland.
