Hello Friends ! 
Today I would like to share a couple of layouts with you. Firstly  a layout for the sketch challenge at Home and Scrapped.

The photo was taken by my son on his recent trip to Thailand . This is his second trip to volunteer at the Blue Sky School / orphanage, helping to build what is needed and  help the children with school work and English. This is what he wrote about the photo.
"This is Piti in the rain. I bonded with Piti the most on this trip. Most nights we would sit up reading from a tattered Old English Book... she has a thirst for knowledge that is inspiring. She would give me a piece of paper and make me write about my day, and then she'd bravely attempt to read it back to me . It was the greatest.

My daughter and Scruffy when they were both youngsters. Flair is from Funky Flair Studio. I do seem to have a bit of a thing for flairs.

AUTUMN LEAVES ~ A2Z SCRAPLETS ~ AUTUMN PAINTS COLOURS THAT SUMMER HAS NEVER SEEN

Hello popping in to share my DT layout for A2Z Scraplets . I was thrilled to receive the "Autumn Leaves" chipboard piece as the town I live in is called the colour city and is simply beautiful in Autumn and the Chipboard encouraged me to scrap one of my Autumn photos

This is the next street down from my house.

The flair is from Funky Flair Studio , the large leaves are from the cheap shop and the gold braid is from my Mum's stash . The 6" Bo Bunny pad which just happens to be called "Autumn Song Collection" could not be more perfect :)

LIFE ~ A2Z SCRAPLETS

Good Evening !
I would like to share with you my DT layout for A2Z Scraplets , using the "Life"chipboard piece

This photo just says Sadness to me , it was taken not long after my Husband , his sister and little brother's Mum had passed away. 

I checked with my Sister in law if she was OK with me sharing the layout, she was fine with me to do so . After 48 years the emotions are still all there and the layout made her cry, so my journalling is true. 

The quote above is also true. They were all very young 15, 13 and 6 and it certainly changed the course of their lives & life was not easy for them. My sister in law at 13 became the mother (as their Dad was a rep and was away a lot) so Sandra, cooked , cleaned washed and got her little brother to school, sport etc . They all have beautiful families of their own now and their Mum would be so proud of them all .
I document these things so as the Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren will know the story of Teresa ,their heritage and  Their Mum and Dads Life.

OUR CHRISTMAS STORY ~ SCRAPBOOKIT JULY CHALLENGE

Good Afternoon!
Today I would like to share my take on the challenge at Scrapbookit . It is always good to get the Christmas Stash out and put it to use, not to mention making a dent in the zillion Christmas Photo's to catch up on scrapping.

I have used a "C" flair for Christmas, the word Christmas on my layout and A Christmas tree  for my three "C's

This time a couple of years ago we did have a good fall of  snow, pretty....... but .....

Challenge Yourself

Hello!
Tonight I would like to share my take on the current challenge at Challenge Yourself
The requirement this month is to use handwritten journaling on your layout ( something I need to do more of) and you must also be in the photo.

I used a tag I made and also another serviette I purchased in Prague depicting Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss"

Also I had torn some pages out of a art journal to make a 
little book and had trimmed the edged strips and thought they were too cool to throw away and would add some nice texture on something, So I glued them on my page as well.

My hand journaling is something that popped into my head one night (happens sometimes) and I wrote it down at the time.

STROLLING THROUGH THE GARDENS

Hello !  Today I would like to share my take on the moodboard at White with 1

The Lavande Range from Megs Garden seemed perfect for the challenge.

The photo was taken at Schonbrunn Castle Vienna. 
The "Beautiful " chipboard word is from A2Z Scraplets which I embossed in the lavender colour. The flair is from Funky Flair Studio
and the Decorative chipboard circle at the side of the photo is the other half of the chipboard piece in my previous post and was a gift from the gorgeous Louise Nelson. 
The butterflies are from a win at Sketchy board Challenge.
I also added a stencil of Lavender with texture paste to the page and fussy cut the flower to add to the top corner of the photo to make it look like part of the photo.

The Satin seam binding is actually mauve , even though it looks a bit pink in the photo Thank you for calling by, I hope your week is a good one.

SHE WAS BEAUTIFULLY OUT OF PLACE ~ SCRAP THE GIRLS CHALLENGE

Hello ! When I came upon the Challenge at Scrap the Girls, I was immediately drawn to it and had a photo in mind.

I was inspired by the photo of the girl, the feathers and the quote.

Here is my take

The lovely washi was sent to me from my Pen Pal in the USA 

I have used a altered chippy that was gifted to me by the Beautiful Louise Nelson. I cut the chipboard piece in half, coloured it silver and added a gem to create a headpiece for my photo of my Granddaughter. Under the photo I have used a serviette I purchased in Prague, the colours seemed to enhance the colours in the photo. 
A talented lady that does body art painted my Granddaughter when my daughter in law was fighting Breast Cancer. The Artist compiled a calander  of survivors painted  in a way that resonated with each of them and the proceeds went to Cancer Research.

UNIQUE, MAGICAL , VENICE ~ ANOTHER FREAKING SCRAPPY CHALLENGE

Good morning ! I am back today to share another challenge, this time at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge. The challenge is to use old Paper from your stash (got to love using up old stash )

I have had this paper for a few years I would say, so it was great to finally use it

It was also good to use some old stickers and also to use stamps I have had for awhile.

LIVE YOUR DREAMS ~ ARCHISCRAPS JULY CHALLENGE

Hello ! A new month brings lots of new challenges and today I am sharing the new Challenge at Archiscraps which is to use a stucco effect on your layout

so think rough surfaces. We would like you to use texture paste or gesso to create the succo effect.
This is my take, I was inspired by the brick work on the villa we stayed in at Tuscany

A ROSE NO LESS ~ KRAFTPLUS CHALLENGE

Good Afternoon on this bleak winters day in Australia. 
Today I would like to share a layout I created for the Challenge at Kraft plus this month, which is all about roses

The DT have created some wonderful inspiration if you pop over to the blog.
This is my take on the challenge

I've had this photo of my husband at the Botanical Gardens in Orange for awhile and wanted to scrap it, so this seemed the perfect challenge.

The challenge is to also use roses threee different ways. I have used stamps, a stencil and texture paste and lastly material and paper roses. I may have gone a little OTT , but I enjoyed the process.
I keep a A4 book that I use for left over mists/paints, ink on stamps etc. and then I use it for tags  or layouts ,here I have added it to the top and bottom of my layout.
I told my husband that he was a thorn amongst the roses, but my journalling says what I really think :)

A COUPLE OF SHARES

Hello !

Today I have a couple of shares 
I was inspired by the gorgeous sketch at Shop and Crop to create this layout and it has been awhile since I played with flowers on my layouts, so I went a little flower crazy :)

I am also starting to put together and document my daughters up coming wedding . I think the Maid of Honour is pleased with her dress .

The next layout I was inspired by the gorgeous moodboard at Funkyflair Studio and I love to add flairs to my layouts.

I don't consider Purple a colour I like to scrap,but I thought this was gorgeous and I got a idea in my head and just wanted to give it a go.

I didn't know how it was going to turn out , I am sure no artist when it comes to drawing , so the eye is not so great. But you know I just got lost in the process and I really enjoyed creating the page and I like the blue in the eye and was pleased with the overall result. It was a bit of therapy I think as well.

and lastly a fun layout of a couple of gorgeous girls that I am lucky enough to call my friends. This layout was for a build a page challenge at Home and Scrapped.

Once again a funky flair Studio flair, I have a bit of a weakness for them.

I am looking forward to catching up with Lizzy , Jo, Cheryl and Bec in a few months time , when we have a little retreat in the mountains.
