Morning! on this last day of the month! I am really sneaking this one in , in the nick of time
I received some photo's on the weekend of my GD dancing and then I came across the challenge at ScrapAroundTheWorld and thought this photo of my GD dancing as the Black Queen in a game of chess would be perfect. The head piece my GD is wearing reminded me of the photo in the Moodboard and the colour scheme was perfect also
I also was guided by the sketch as I had three photo's of this dance , so it was good to use them on one layout.
As I finished late last night and having to go to work this morning was struggling to get a good pic with the right light, so this is the best I got this morning
Some bakers twine and washi tape
Photos are by Winki Pop Sydney.
Thanks so much for popping by, best get to work
Love and Peace

THE FABRIC OF LIFE
Hi all,
I wanted to share a just because layout with you . I love this photo of my Mum holding me, and my two brothers and a cousin outside our home .
The photo must have been taken in the very early days of Mum and Dad building their home as there is no next door neighbour yet ( Dad sold the block and the same neighbours still are living there today) and originally we only had about 3 rooms , so looks like this is before the additions of more rooms ,and the yard is scrub! Mum ended up creating the most beautiful garden.
I have used the Needle and Thread Range Of PP's from Kaiser
The Vintage Stamp is from Craftqueen
How cool are my brothers in their stripy Tshirts :)
Thank you for taking the time to come by. Still a few days to enter the Challenges at Orange Paperie and CMS.
I will leave you with how our home ended up looking
Love and Peace

CASE FILE #90 AT CSI ~ YOU ARE LOVED
Hi all,
The great thing about challenges is that it challenges us to do things we normally wouldn't have a go at. The colour palette is one I would not normally use and when I did I loved it !
Here is the challenge at CSI at them moment
My evidence ~ Hearts, Fabric, Something no longer trendy ( flower and heart brads)
Testimony ~ I have journalled on a tag and slid in the side of the photo ~
Scruffy you have been the best little mate for 15 years now. You are the best dog in the whole wide world, as I tell you on a regular basis. Unique, Highly Strung and Oh so special. Love you little man
I had a lot of fun with Mists, salt, glitter, Pan Pastels and texture paste
The flourish and lovely blue and grey flowers are from Natalie, thank you I love them. The big white flower is from Kim thanks Kim . I added a bit of mist and pan pastel to it's petals. The blue cobwebbing, braid and small flowers are from Craftqueen. White thready material is an old doily I have cut up White lace from Marally Craft. Heart stamp is also from a RAK
The blue gem flower is from Susan McGuire ~ thank you Susan
The orange and blue flower brads I have had forever! It's great to use old stash~ then you can feel justified for buying it in the first place :)
Both me and Scruff were way much younger when this photo was taken. Scruff is now 15 years old, which is about 105 years old in dogs years I think. He is a trooper and battling on, but if love can keep you alive, I think that is what keeps him going. ( not telling you how old I am )
Thanks so much for calling by. Don't forget to take a look and join in with Orange Paperie and ColorMeScrappy challenges
Love and Peace

STOP AND SMELL THE FLOWERS ~ PIXLES AND PAPER CHALLENGE
Hi all, hope you are all enjoying this lovely day .
I came across a challenge site via Lizzy's blog http://crumbsofcreativity.blogspot.com.au/ called Pixles and Paper and when I saw their current challenge , straight away it took me to a photo of my eldest son when he was little
this is the challenge

this is the challenge
so it inspired me to dig the photo out and scrap it
I think Joe is about 18mths old here, he is now nearly 34!
The flair button is from StudioFourteen40 I am loving them.
Some vintage twine that was my Mums . Little yellow flowers from Scrapfriends as is the adorable picture tab, they are great value, the pack comes with different sayings, there is 24 pieces in a pack and I cut them in half , so I get double :)
I found this layout hard to start with , as the PP from BoBunny is so gorgeous on its own. I didn't want to ruin it. But I eventually got started.
and finished. I don't think the photo does the colours justice. But very happy to get this sweet memory scrapped .
Frightening how quickly the years fly by, so remember...... Stop and Smell the flowers

TODAY'S STORY ~ CSI CHALLENGE #89
Evening all,
I wanted to share with you the challenge over at CSI at the moment, you still have a couple of days before the new challenge starts. I really liked the colour palette in this one and seeing I have not long purchased Pan Pastels in the colours I had to do it :) and there is a fab sketch to go along with the challenge
My evidence I have used animal accents ~ the little birds whispering into Amelia's ear. The big orange button is from the ChipChopShop . Trim and charm from Craftqueen
Book Pages ~ I have ripped out a piece that has Amelia written on it. I had fun playing with PanPastels, Gelato's and mists ( a bit of everything) the leaf texture is from a new Di Wakley mask I have from Craftqueen
I embossed the chippy flourish with my new Zing embossing powders & I love my flair buttons I received from
Studio Fourteen40 during the week and couldn't wait to use them. You can find them on facebook
You love to tell a good story, our little drama queen. You tell a story with such enthusiasm & expression. You are a delight. Don't ever change our Beautiful Girl
The cool chain was in a RAK from Karen Shady so thank you Karen. And I have used washi tape from Craftqeen down one side and a little bit on the bottom.
Pop over to CSI and check out the DT amazing takes on the challenge. Always lots of inspiration.
And please join us at CMS for a fab colour challenge and to use texture ( all the stuff I love) you still have until the end of the month.
Time for bed for me, have not been well all day, no doubt I will be fighting fit for work tomorrow, well here's hoping
Love and Peace

I made the journey bottle top , used my new mask & Prima stamps from Craftqueen
Some plasters tape , which is great for adding texture, some canvas that has been soaked in coffee and the coffee rings , well I was actually having a cup of coffee and thought why not put the base of the takeaway coffee cup into the lid and stamp my paper :)
The PP is Bo Bunny
The tag in the side contains the journalling which says ~
When I look at this photo it makes me feel a little sad. After having a fall & being 94 & a fading memory Mum had to go into a nursing home. On this day I took Mum for a drive to get her out and to some nice sights. Mum's mobility was also getting worse, so trips down town etc were no longer an option. Although I was doing my best I could not help but feel her sense of sadness of losing her independence and longing to go home.
So have a go at the great colour palette and playing with texture. Love to see your take on the challenge
Also being the 15th Jo and Kim have added their beautiful layouts to the Orange Paperie Challenge. Pop over and have a look see and join in with the beautiful moodboard for inspiration.
Have a great week. Weekends go way to fast :(
I will leave you with a touch of Spring
Love and Peace

MY DAD
Hi all,
Just wanted to share with you a couple of layouts I did of my Dad.
The first is one for a challenge over at Home and Scrapped
This was taken at the Borenore Tennis Courts just down the road from our house. From memory we were having a working bee on this day. We spent many a Sunday playing tennis and enjoying the amazing afternoon teas.
Tiny twine, braid and Cobweb ribbon are from Craftqueen

The windmill is Kaiser from Marally Craft which I have inked and used stickles & smooch ( we actually had a windmill in the yard at home growing up) The Cherished Memories is a Kaiser word stamp.
My other layout is one I did for my Saturday Class
I used a new Die Cut and have used the brick mask , influenced by the brick wall in the photo. I have used Kaiser Seers and Sons Range of PP and collectibles
some of my mothers old twine
Made a little tie banner
And for some reason I left out the A in Dad's name , which I have since rectified .
Thanks for popping by, not long till the weekend :) Hope it is a good one for everyone
Love and Peace
