WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD ~ CHALLENGE YOURSELF

Hello to those that visit. For those of us in Australia, I hope you have not melted away ! I have made myself come into my little heat box (scrap room ) tonight.
I have been sharing my pedestal fan with hubby in the family room ( I took pity on him) . He has gone to bed now, so I can drag it back in to my scrap room.
Tonight I am sharing a layout for the Challenge at Challenge yourself , which is....

Now I have lots of photos that I could use that makes me think ~ what a wonderful World.....  Lots of nature and overseas shots, Trouble is I am taking the photo's , but not in them ! I did think of cutting myself out of a photo and sticking it in the shot :)
In the end I chose a photo of  a time we were spending 10 days on the island of Patmos. Sorry to subject you to a photo of me in my pj's early in the morning (not the best sight ). But when I look at the photo I know it was a time I was very happy and relaxed and  I know I was thinking " What a wonderful world " everyday. The photo has to have the feeling and emotion for me
I thought I had finished the layout and then today I came across the little anchor in Kmart , along with a whole bunch of cute embellishments. I thought it would be perfect to add.

To mat my photo I have used some old alpha's up.

The Flair is from Funky Flairs Studio. Added some waves with texture paste and some stamping. I wanted to add some red flowers, as a lot of the houses have red geraniums, as did our little piece of paradise .
Oh and I printed two photo's , trying to print a better image (didn't work ) , so I cut one down and placed it on top of the other photo ( no use wasting that ink )

We are so blessed to have beautiful Greek friends that offered us the use of their home and we got so well looked after by all their relatives. They are memories I hold dear and I so hope to go back and see them all again one day.
Thank You for calling by , I do appreciate that you take the time to do so and love to receive your comments.
Until next time, stay cool !

SHE LEFT A TRAIL OF GLITTER

Good Evening !
Tonight I would like to share a layout using Papers from Megs Garden "Spring Pastels Collection "
And the Harlequin and Border Chipboard piece from A2Z Scraplets
She Left a Trail Of Glitter

Our Beautiful Grand Daughter at her Year 10 Formal . The photo was taken by my son (her uncle) A photographer in the family comes in handy  . Gosh now she has finished year 12 and left school , Where does the time go !

The little daisy flowers scattered around the page I have cut from delicate ribbon from Megs Store . The pearl trim from Megs  I have wound through the chipboard piece from A2Z Scraplets. I simple covered the chipboard with gesso and then shaded with Blue Pan Pastels. The bottom piece of the chipboard I have shaded a little darker .
The butterflies and Love sentiment I fussy cut from The cut and create sheets from Megs Shop. The cut and create are fantastic, as they have so many beautiful images on them. I seeked the advice from some lovely friends  as where to place the butterfly as I was going to give Amelia wings at one stage.
The Title I gave is because of Amelia's personality, she does leave a trail of glitter , she is a sweet, kind girl , which makes me happy.
Thank You for calling by and I hope you take a peek at all the beautiful products at Megs Garden and A2Z Scraplets.
I really love any comments and appreciate them.
Enjoy the rest of your week and maybe leave a little glitter as you go.

The flair is from Funky Flairs Studio. The chipboard buildings is from Typo . Thank You Lizzy for the frame. The Image behind the photo and tag are cut from Graphic 45 PP.

I'd also like to share a layout I did for a challenge at Soul Scrappers of their time in New York ( maybe when they are older they will appreciate that I documented their trip )

I thought it was pretty cute that Christmas Eve they decorated their Motel Room with a little tree and Christmas stockings and presents.

LOVE ~ A 2 Z SCRAPLETS

Hello, back again to share my DT layout for A 2 Z scraplets.

LOVE

The lovely Oval Daisy Frame made me think 70's , so I decided to go for this theme and seeing it is our 38th wedding anniversary tomorrow, I scrapped our engagement photo.
The colours I have used are also colours that are me.

If you pop over to the blog I have explained how I have treated the chipboard.
The flair is from  Funky Flairs Studio

the Arrow Word chippy comes in a pack of 7 , each with a different sentiment , Bargain !
This layout came from lots of bits and pieces. The PP is old stash and left over pieces of PP. The Tulle and little frames are from a layout I pulled apart awhile ago, as is the L and E in my title (made from modelling medium ) I couldn't find the O and V , so I just used some alpha's .
The butterfly I found whilst cleaning up some stash, same colours, so popped that on as well.
Then I had to tell myself .... Stop !
Thank You for calling by . I really appreciate any comments.
I seem to be creating a LOT since I got back from holidays. Hope your week has been good and the weekend is even better.

DREAMS ~ MEGS GARDEN

Hello !
Well it's still hot, hot , hot here in Oz, so I am trying to stay inside in front of the pedestal fan (better than nothing).
Today I am up on the blog at Megs Garden , creating with the beautiful Parisian Gardens Range , I adore this range.

Dreams

This is my Mum and Dad on their wedding day. Straight away I knew I wanted to use the envelope from the Cut and Create Sheet . I used a craft knife to make a opening in the envelope and I then used the envelope to put the cutting from the local paper of Mum and Dad's wedding that I had came across amongst Mums belongings. Now it has a safe place to live and can be read enjoyed by  generations to come.

My idea with the flowers was to try and create a trailing bouquet  . I started it with the lovely gold frame and
added the roses and lovely glass flower.  Popped in some muslin for softness and lace, leaves and pearl trim and then added the dragon fly charm.

The Dreams sentiment is from the Cut and Create Sheet , I shaded with mauve.

The "Happy " chipboard word is from A 2 Z Scraplets and I have embossed it in mauve.

I have cut other images from the cut and create sheet to place under my photo ~ the music book, envelope . The cut and create sheets are fabulous, they have sooooo many beautiful images to use on your pages , or cards.
The images below are the two Parisian Gardens Cut and Create Sheets. Are they not beautiful ?

Thank you for calling by, I do appreciate and love to read any comments. All the products  besides the chipboard word can be found at Megs Store

PRECIOUS MOMENTS ~ A 2 Z SCRAPLETS

Hello ,hello !

Today it is my turn on the blog at A2Z Scraplets. I hope you will pop over to the blog where I have links to the products I have used.

Precious Moments

The Chipboard piece I have used is perfect for my title. "Precious Moments " indeed. This is my Mum and Dad with my daughter Chelsea when she was a little girl. We were celebrating Mum's 70th

I have embossed the top part of the sentiment in pink and the bottom part in purple. I then went over the whole piece with a Wink Of Stella brush, which gives a lovely silver sparkle .

The gorgeous "Cherish" embellishment was made for me by my beautiful friend Bec.

I have also used the A2Z Scraplets Staggered stencil with Texture paste to add some texture to the layout. I shaded it with blue Pan Pastel and then outlined the pattern with a black sharpie , to make it stand out even more.

The lovely blue Metal star was a gift from my Irish Pen friend

The paper is very busy, but I hope I have made it work. I liked the feel of it for the era.
Thank you for calling by, another hot day in Australia again.

SAND BETWEEN MY TOES ~ PIXELS AND PAPER

Hello ! Today is a little cooler , so nice to be in my scrap room, no need for the fan  blowing everything around.  Seeing we have just been on a beach holiday, I thought it was the perfect challenge at Pixel and Papers to get a summer layout done .
The challenge , a summer scheme and the prompt.

and this is my take
Sand between my toes

Chipboard pieces are from A2Z Scraplets and the flair is from Funky Flairs Studio  . I simply rubbed gesso over the chipboard pieces to give a white washed, beachy affect and with the sea horse I added some blue shading with pan pastel.

I tried not to get too much of my ugly old feet in the photo.
Thanks so much for calling by, I really do appreciate any comments.
Hope you are enjoying what is left of the weekend.

CHERISH ~ MEGS GARDEN AND A2Z SCRAPLETS

Hello !
Today I am up over at Megs Garden showcasing the beautiful new Range Parisian Gardens ( Even the name of the collection wins me over ) . I was so happy when I received this range to create with, it is soooo beautiful.
Cherish

I was actually looking for another photo , when I came upon this photo of my Mother. Mum looks so happy and relaxed I knew this was the photo I needed to create with.

I also LOVE the cut and create pages from Megs Garden Shop, so easy to make tags, cards ect with, so many beautiful images.
Firstly I cut the bird and music image from the sheet and lightly shaded it with some blue . Then I made the tag with  the beautiful image of the lady, added some lace, flower, Butterfly charm and the vintage trinket.

I framed my photo with the beautiful circle vine circle frame from A 2 Z Scraplets . I brushed the chipboard piece with gesso and then lightly added some blue shading.
I finished the layout by cutting the word "Cherish" from the cut and create and sheet, inked the edges with blue distress ink and shaded with blue.
If you click on this link you can actually see the whole range showcased on Youtube. You will fall in love, trust me.
I encourage you to pop over to both Megs Garden and A2Z Scraplets and check out all the beautiful products they both offer and whilst there it would be nice if you left some love .
I hope you are keeping cool if you are in Australia and warm if you are in USA and Europe.

TAKE TIME TO DO WHAT MAKES YOUR SOUL HAPPY ~ A 2 Z SCRAPLETS CHALLENGE

Hello !
I am making myself catch up on some postings today, so be prepared for overload. It is a little cooler this morning , but starting to heat up again, so I will get in my little office before it gets too hot!
Firstly I would like to share the new challenge at A 2 Z Scraplets. It is a lovely sketch, I hope you join in and there is a lovely pack of chipboard to be won :)
The sketch
and my take

TAKE TIME TO DO WHAT MAKES YOUR HEART HAPPY

If you are looking for a Town/Country/place name chipboard title A2Z Scraplets is your place to find it.
We had a lovely week last year in Coffs Harbour catching up with friends and supporting a good friend who has been organizing the Coffs Harbour Fun run for many years and raising heaps of money for charities. This was his last year of organising the fun run before handing the reins over to his daughter.

I have simply embossed the title "Coffs Harbour "in orange . The title really makes the layout I think. Flair is from Funky Flair Studio

I then took the "Fun" chipboard arrow and embossed in yellow , this is a pack of 7  with various words .As the day was a lot of fun and just incase you thought we ran, nope we did the walk. I am like that joke if you ever see me running call the police as someone is trying to kill me.
Thank you for calling by , I appreciate any comments and I hope you pop over to the blog and leave some love for the DT.
You will find the challenge on facebook here and this is also where you post your entry.

IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR ~ ARCHISCRAPS

Hello ! Well the holiday is over and it is time to get back in the swing of things, even though I am finding it a bit hard today to do so. Missing the beach, but ah well that's the way it goes.
So now to catch up on some blogging and the new challenges.
The challenge at Archiscraps this month is lace

There are many ways you could create with this criteria , I  chose to use a lace stencil with texture paste

It's the most wonderful time of the year

The annual family dinner and putting up of the Christmas Tree. Our daughter and future Son In Law are missing though, as they had a New York Christmas this year.

The lace doily reminded me of the image of the ceiling in the photo prompt. I used mists and perfect pearls on the stencil and some sequins. I have also added lace strips under my photo. The snowflakes were a gift from my lovely Irish Pen friend. I decided to get the stamps out as well, love buying them, need to use them more !

I am really enjoying using my flairs from Funky Flair Studio and I have had the little Christmas tree charm for awhile so was happy to add it to my layout. Some little circle braid from Craft Queen that I have cut up and added here and there on the layout and the pink cobwebbing at the side of my photo is also from Craftqueen.

You can see the lace under the photo better in this shot and I think the reindeer is pretty gorgeous.
I h0pe you join us in the challenge this month, and we offer a prize each month to the winning entry.
Pop over to the blog and see what the DT has created to inspire and I am sure they would really appreciate some love.

This was our last evening walk on the beach before heading home the next morning. Thought I had not put another early morning photo Lizzy lol.
Happy New Year everyone and may 2017 be everything you hope for .
