IT IS STARTING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS

Hello !

I thought I would share a little Christmas creating I have been doing of late.
The cheeky Lizzy popped some cute little Christmas trees in a goodies parcel that she kindly gave me at Camp Mojo and they inspired me to make some cards and to continue working on my 2013 mini Album ! (yes I have a lot of catching up to do)

Thank you Lizzy I really enjoyed using the little trees.
Also I was very lucky to win a prize over at Damsel of Distressed Cards and it arrived in the mail this week all the way from the USA, thank you Bec, I can't wait to create with them & your card is gorgeous !

PRE SCHOOL DAYS ~ SCRAP THE BOYS SEPT

Good Morning !
In the interest of keeping all my boys happy , last night I scrapped a page of my eldest son  for the challenge at Scrap the Boys. I really liked the sketch, so sneaking this one in.

Pre School Days

I have used lots of goodies we received as gifts at Camp Mojo

The ABC tape around the edges I have had forever. I brought it when washi first came out and have never used it. Just goes to show eventually a home will be found for everything.
The PP is Amy Tangerine. I contemplated buying the paper pad , as I am normally not a brights person. Obviously I did purchase it in the view of using the Papers for PL. So so far I have used it for two layouts :) It is really lovely to work with and fabulous quality.

LOVE THIS BOY ~ DEER AND FAWN CHALLENGE

Hello fellow scrappers.
I am struggling at the moment to get things done with Hay Fever. I am feeling very miserable. Yesterday after work I came home and went to bed. Any way enough of feeling sorry for myself, just annoying as I hate wasting time.

Today I would like to share a layout for the challenge at Deer and Fawn The challenge is to use orange and team it with either or Black /white

This is my Middle child, the gypsy child, who is now in his 30's  . I am getting so old :(

BACK TO SCHOOL ~ SCRAPKI~WYZWANIOWO

Good evening fellow scrappers. 

Tonight I would like to share my layout for the challenge at Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo . The theme School memories. 
I have scrapped an old photo of how I remember school best. With friends , socializing :) Yep not an academic I am afraid, but I did enjoy being with my friends every day. The photo is of our end of Year 10 ( 4th form way back then) BBQ at the lake.

Life is a journey

Clearly our photography skills were not the best and of course we didn't have the wonderful camera's or Iphones of today. None the less it still captures the memory of good friends of my school days. 
I have used very old papers as well 

The lovely red hand made flowers I received from my Pen Pal and I used them right away . The little rabbit with the glasses , which I think looks very intelligent is also from my Pen Pal :)

MAKING CARDS

Hello !

I had the bright idea to sort my stash a bit . I am trying to make my scrap space and stash more functional and user friendly. Well it's a great idea, but like all great ideas turns into a mammoth task ! 
So by the end of the afternoon I was getting a little testy as I wanted to create.
I must say , although not finished yet I am making progress and it will be better.
So late last night I satisfied my creative urge with some cards

NATURE IS WEARING HER PRETTIEST CLOTHES ~ 13 ARTS

Good Afternoon, I hope you are having a lovely day. Today I would like to share a layout for the challenge at 13arts

when I came across the mood board I was inspired to create a layout using a photo I had taken  recently, of cherry blossoms

So of course the blossom flower was my main inspiration and then I have gone with the colour palette and added a mask and texture paste for the texture in the throws. The title comes from a Frances Mayes book that I have read and those words stuck in my mind , because I thought it was such a beautiful description.

Lots of old thread and flowers that were my Mums

The verse from a children's book fell into my  hand when I was searching through my stash for something and I thought it should live here .....I know I keep things for a reason :)

LESSOLOGY ~ IT'S ALL ABOUT BOOKS

Today I would like to share a little project for Lessology .The challenge this month is all about books

Hello there friends! This month's challenge is all about books! Yep...incorporate a book in your project for LESSology Challenge #51: It's reading time! You can decorate a book or even make a book. It can be a mini-book too. Totally up to your interpretation. We look forward to seeing your creative ideas! :)

Remember, you can create any project you want as long as it includes ONE upcycled item. Please indicate what it is in your post as it may not be apparent.

I have made a little three fold book which I am going to send away to a lovely Pen Pal in Ireland

This is my cover which is tied up with an old piece of lace that was my Mum's

This is what you see when you open the first fold. The lovely lady with wings is a printable image from Pinterest and the image of the lady and man is a  tag I made from 7 dots studio "Cold Country"range from Memory . I have used some old music paper on the tag, which you can't really see here.  I have old lace on this page as well and the tag slides in behind a piece of old lace to hold it in place. As you can see I have made little pockets to hold bits and pieces.

and opened up completely. I found PL cards make good pockets as well . I found the tutorial for this little booklet on Janet Lanes Blog. It is super easy (which I love )

LET YOUR HEART SPEAK ~ SCRAP AFRICA

Good afternoon !

Today I would like to share my layout for the Scrap Africa Challenge , which is this gorgeous mood board

It is such a pretty soft mood board. I was inspired by the dress. Now I have to say my layout went a TOTALLY different direction than I had envisaged. I was thinking, soft, pretty, sequins etc .
But I actually spilled the glimmer mist and thought what a waste , looks like the bin. BUT being stubborn and I really hate wasting anything , I decided to go with it and see what I could do. I changed my choice of photos and this is what happened.

Let your Heart Speak

The chipboard I broke into pieces is from Scrapmatts. Thank you Lizzy for the mauve hand made flower . Lots of little flowers from My Mum's flower tin.

I went with dramatic :) Still added the sequins as inspired by the moodboard, Used the photo's of my Grand daughter doing her Contemporary dance. Photo is by Winki Pop Media. I was happy I got to watch Amelia perform this.

GOOD WILL TO ALL MEN ~ SCRAP OUR STASH

Hello !
 Today I would like to share a layout for Scrap Our Stash. I sat down to complete a couple of Christmas mini albums and ended up doing a layout ! I am always giving Lizzy a hard time about making Christmas Cards early in the year and scaring me (because I am not organised ) and here I go doing a Christmas layout . Sometimes stuff just happens and when I picked up this photo I knew I wanted to do a layout with it.
The challenge is.....



It really challenges me to think of products for the letters. I actually had to go back and add an alpha to cover the A requirement.

L ~ Layers, I used lots of layers of bits and pieces of old PP
        I also have a piece of lace braid

Good Will to all Men

The reindeer is from Scrapmatts and I have inked it in gold

 ( I love reindeer's ) . Flair is from StudioFourteen40 and I have laid it in the middle of a new die that I am really pleased I brought.  Some Reindeer Braid .

The glitter "C" is my alpha.

PATMOS LOVE ~ ARTastic

Hello, it's the 15th of the month and time for the DT mid month reveal at ARTastic.
The challenge 

It is a free challenge, you just need to say what inspired you from this image by William Knox.

The image reminded me of our time on Patmos Island. I also tried to incorporate the colours into my layout

I may have gone a little OTT with this one, sometimes I should just stop and walk away. Lots of mists, paints , stamping , yep everything thrown at this

SCRAP AFRICA ~ EMBRACE RIGHT NOW

Good Morning on this beautiful sun shiny day.
Today I would like to share my entry for the challenge at Scrap Africa  which is a sketch challenge

Here is my take on the sketch

Embrace Right Now

I was really happy with my Father's Day card I made this year, so instead of putting it in a drawer I decided to attach it to my layout of my Father's Day photo.

I embossed the flair ,clock and cogs, as well as rubbing some metallic and paints on the clock and cogs .

The "Right Now" I stamped onto some Cheesecloth tape and then placed onto a strip of dried tea bag & added old twine

The lovely Embrace word chippy is from Scrapmatts.

Magical Destination

This photo was taken at the beautiful village of Interlaken Switzerland. The yellow flowers are from Wilma, so it seems fitting to use them on this layout as I spend a lovely afternoon with Wilma who lives across from this Park.
