THE LIMIT DOES NOT EXIST ~ A2Z SCRAPLETS

Good Morning !
Today I would like to share my layout for A2Z Scraplets. When I saw the The Limit Does Not Exist chipboard piece that Debra sent me I thought it would be perfect for Amelia's Dance photo

I received two new Lindy Stamp sprays as part of a challenge prize and was keen to try them out. I always love to see the patterns that the mists make .

I also used the staggered stencil ( comes in handy to hide some stamping I wasn't happy with and adding some texture in the process as well )
To alter my chipboard Title I used a Zing Embossing powder that I purchased on the day I created the layout. I guess my layout was driven by trying out the new products. The blue , sparkly embossing powder was just the shot.
I seem to manage to add a flair on most layouts ( I keep ordering them , so best use them , and I love them ) The flair is from Funky Flair Studio 

I also added some sutle stamping ( I have to learn that less is more sometimes )

BUTTERFLY KISSES ~ A 2 Z SCRAPLETS

Hello ! 
Today is my turn on the Blog at A2Z Scraplets (would love you to pop over have a looky see and leave some love for the girls )
Now if you read my previous post you would know two layouts came about from searching for some paper to take a pic of my Hubby's Valentine note  on. .... Well this is the paper that started it all

Butterfly Kisses

I have had this paper forever ! I actually had treated the Butterfly Chipboard piece for another layout awhile ago and then decided against using it. So out it came again as I thought it would work well with my photo of my two Grandchildren.

I had embossed The Butterfly Kisses chipboard piece it in Pink and Mauve , so thought it would be OK with the colours here. I added little gems to the butterflies and then out lined the words with a fine point black calligraphy pen.

And then I thought I would punch some butterflies out, going with the theme. Whilst looking for some Patter Paper that would compliment I came across Another really old PP , the whole pattern was butterflies (which I would never have used ) so I fussy cut a heap of butterflies from the Paper and have them flying up the page. Such satisfaction using old stash up. The flair is from Funky Flairs Studio .

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE ~ CHALLENGE YOURSELF

Hello !
The last few days the weather has been much kinder, so I am enjoying the cooler days.
Today I would like to share a layout for the challenge at Challenge Yourself, which is to.....

It is funny how a layout comes about sometimes. Yesterday was Valentines day in Australia and the Prompt for Photo a Day was hearts. I was looking for a nice piece of paper to put the sweet note my hubby left for me on the kitchen bench to take a photo for the prompt. From this I ended up creating two layouts. Even better I used really old stash.

All you need is Love

The embellishments I have had for ages as well .

TODAY ~ A MOTHERS LOVE ~ ANOTHER FREAKING SCRAPPY CHALLENGE

Hello!
today is a little cooler and a little rain, relief from the heat, but meant to be heating up again. Enjoying the cool while I can. But I digress
A new challenge is up at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge. Criteria ~ Use the word 'Today" on your layout, easy Peasy, so I am hoping you will join us. This is my take on the challenge

This moment ~ Today

 Not a photo I thought I would actually scrap, but keeping it real.  My son caught me having a ugly cry on our daughters graduation day from The Academy.
It was a day filled with many emotions, (as a mother you envisage a safer career for your daughter) but what I felt most ,was and is indescribable  pride. I saw the commitment , determination and strength our daughter possessed to graduate. I would not have lasted a week ( Stubborn like her father).

Thank you for the hearts Lizzy , I am making good use of them.

A LONG TIME AGO ~ KRAFTPLUS

Hello ! I have not been too motivated today, hot , hot again. 
I did do a layout for the Kraft Plus Challenge though, I really like the sketch

I  have dug some pics out of the archives (my kids will prob be totally embarrassed )

Date ..... A Long Time Ago

Now my bikini wearing days was short. I could never get the top to fit properly (as I have no boobs and still don't , sorry too much information) But the kids can see that there was a time that their Mum was indeed young.

I have found some old bottle tops tucked away and used them lately as a embellishment. So I am happy to have used some old stash ( I have stacks of die cuts , so great to being using them lately as well and to have document some old, poor quality photos.

Talking about die cuts , I have some birthdays this month and have made some cards

This is my beautiful Grandson, we were about to go to New Years Eve's Fire Works about 3 years ago I think .

My homemade item is the bottle top embellishment which I made.

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL ~ LIVE YOUR DREAMS ~ ARCHISCRAPS CHALLENGE

Good Evening , Gosh first month of the new year already done and dusted ! That also means new challenges. Tonight I am sharing the new challenge at Archiscraps this month , which is all about colour . So we would love you to get your colour on and join us in the challenge.

I was lucky enough to visit the Chinqe Terrere in 2008 and the 5 little villages are so colourful and beautiful 

The flairs on the layout are from Funky Flairs Studio and the Harlequin Chipboard piece and the Amaze Chipboard are from A2Z Scraplets

I have used a staggered stencil from A 2 Z Scraplets to add texture and used lots of mists  and some stamping.
