YOU MAKE MY HEART HAPPY ~ ARCHISCRAPS ~ A 2 Z SCRAPLETS

My gosh the first of Dec, where the heck did that year go ! But a new month means a new challenge at Archiscraps which is ..... Cogs

This is what I created
You make my heart happy

The cogs and diamond shape chippies are from A 2 Z Scraplets.

I found the autumn leaves at the dollar saver shop which I think are pretty cool.

The Autumn leaf washi is from Craftqueen.
The cute fox flair is from Funky Flairs Studio

I treated the chipboard with embossing powder. The cogs I used several different shades of embossing powder and then also rubbed metalic medium in areas as well. The diamond shapes I also used two shades of embossing powder.
The photo is of my eldest son at our local park.  The park in Autumn was always a place I took my children to play in the leaves.
Hope the festive season is not too crazy for you  and you find some time for yourself.

POCKET LETTER AND SOME CHRISTMAS CARDS

Good Evening!
Tonight I thought I would share some Snailmail and Christmas cards with you. I don't often think to do this, but as far as I know my Pen Pals don't read my blog , so I will share them with you. I came across these lovely leaves, (where I can't remember, old age setting in ) , but they inspired me to make a autumn/fall pocket letter for my USA penpal ( although it will prob be winter by the time she recieves it ) Still I hope she likes it

Next a little flipbook for our next door neighbour who is just over 12 months old. Our neigbours were collecting our mail whilst we were away and the little guy still likes to check our mail box each day, so I thought I would make him his own mail for a surprise

Next a flip book for my Irish Pen Pal

I think I will leave the Christmas cards for another time, I have overloaded you enough !
I will leave you with the birthday card I made for our Grandson and I am now about to make another birthday card for Hubby tomorrow , all these birthdays just before Christmas, very inconsiderate !

Thank You for those that call by and thank you for those that choose to leave a comment, I really appreciate it.

PEACH YOU SAY ~ 123 CHALLENGE

When I came across the current challenge at 123 challenge , I thought Peach hmmmmm, but it's a challenge right. After searching my stash , I ended up creating a layout I am quite happy with, and I have used up some old stash, that is always a good feeling. Criteria ~Peach , Pleats and Pretty.

You have my heart

This is my daughter on Easter Morning , we were going to Church, whilst we were visiting relatives in Crookwell. The outfit she is wearing was made by Mum for her Christening , A little smocked dress and the jacket my Mum crochet out of silk.

For the pleated criteria, I have pleated a piece of PP and made a little fan
For the pretty ~ lace , flowers. flair etc . I really loved the little frame out of a packet of die cuts I think, and was keen to use it.

The butterfly chipboard piece is from A 2 Z Scraplets and I have treated it with gesso,  and then water paints, stamped a butterfly image on the butterfly piece and added some winks of stella and a black pearlen pen

Cherish  word chippy is also from A 2 Z scraplets. Once again I primed it with gesso, then painted with peach water paints and then rubbed peach Pan Pastel over it. The pretty flair is from Funky Flair Studio.

Thank You for calling by and any comments are apreciated . We have been celebrating our Grandson's 15th Birthday today, they just grow up soooo fast !
Wishing you all a wonderful week.

CREATING TAGS ~ A 2 Z SCRAPLETS

Hello! Today I would like to share some tags I created using the A 2 Z Scraplets Chipboard  and would love you to pop over to the A 2 Z Blog and see what the DT has been creating and leave them some love, also would love you to follow us on instagram.
So I was inspired by Marta to create some tags using cardboard as my base and the first time I played with Black Gesso, Fun!
Dream
I have embossed the A 2 Z Scraplets chipboard word and star flourish with Zing embossing powder. I really love the size and font of the chipboard words and how gorgeous is the star flourish. The little triangle piece under the lovely lady is actually a negative from one of the pieces, so I embossed it as well and I think it is just perfect here. On my background I have used gesso, mists, enamel accents , glimmer glam , cobwebbing , muslin , material and a white marker.
Love

For the star flourish on the Love tag I have primed it with gesso and then painted with glimmer glam and a variety of markers and copic pens and finally added mica flakes

Here I have used the triangle chipboard piece for the base to sit my photo on, it adds lovely dimension and interest. I primed it with gesso , painted it with a black Perlen Pen and then outlined it with Wink of Stella and a white marker .
I love how these all turned out and will use them on a card or layout I think.

Thank you Lizzy for the lovely vintage images .
Pop over to A 2 Z Scraplets to my blog post for links to the products I have used.
Thank you for calling by , nearly the weekend :)

THE AUNTS ~ ARTASTIC NOV CHALLENGE

Good morning !
The challenge at ARTastic this month really appeals to me as the criteria is Vintage :)

The inspiration is a painting The Summer house by Hilda Rix Nicholas

I was inspired by the two ladies and the lady in the hat

The photo is of my two aunts , sisters and as different as chalk and cheese. They were at my eldest Brother's wedding and obviously hats were the go as all the lady guests had hats on. I was my brother's flowergirl.
I was really happy with how this turned out and I enjoyed creating it, but found it difficult to photograph it , to do it justice

The vintage bits and pieces are coming in very handy Lizzy

We would love you to get your vintage on and join us in the challenge at ARTastic this month.
Have a wonderful day

Good Morning,
Today I would like to share a layout I created for the challenge at 13 arts

The challenge is frozen ~ what a beautiful moodboard

My middle child , the gypsy child has just returned from Iceland, so I thought apart from Antartica , Iceland pretty much covers the theme.
The photo was taken by Greg Miller

Collect Moments not things

The flair is from Funky Flair Studio and I have added some little seed beads and glass gems

The "Amazing" chipboard word is from A 2 Z Scraplets , I have covered it in gesso and then added some sparkle.
Thank You for calling by , I hope your week is a wonderful one

SO VERY THANKFUL ~ CHALLENGE YOURSELF

Good Evening ladies,
Tonight I am sharing my layout for the challenge over at Challenge Yourself . I like to join in their challenges whenever I can.
The Criteria

and this is my take

So very Thankful for the wonderful Boy in my Life

This is my beautiful Grandson with his two Nanna's on Grandparents Day.
I made my banner from Calico and bakers twine

I have had the cards for a long time (everything comes in handy eventually )
Some old buttons from my Mum's button tin.

Then I made a heart from the piece of  wet felting that Bec taught us on our little retreat in the mountains. I added some very bad stiching around it to emphasise the shape of the heart. I have added string from the buttons to the heart to anchor them together , so I guess you could say I have two banners :)
Thanks so much for calling by, nearly the weekend and I hope it is a good one for you.

LIFE IS EITHER A DARING ADVENTURE OR NOTHING AT ALL ~SHOW US YOUR STUFF

Good afternoon,

I have been busily creating as I can't stand to think about the Election going on at the moment, scary  stuff.
The Challenge at Show Us Your Stuff this month is to create a layout with no People, so it was a good opportunity to document a travel photo.

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all ~ Helen Keller

When we arrived in Fiji , firstly we were greeted by Fijian singers and then we were taken by a lovely man to catch the plane to the Island we were staying on. This was the first photo I took , this was where we caught the plane to go to the island  ( which in itself was an adventure, but that is another story )
I knew this was going to be a special holiday and it was. The island was small and non touristy, the Fijian People are the friendless people and it was sooooo relaxing. No shops, no vehicles , no TV , so the whole time we had no idea what was happening in the world (which would be a good thing right now ) It was bliss.

The chippy is from A 2 Z Scraplets and I have stamped it and then added enamal accents and blended them to colour the crab.

I have used texture paste through a stencil and coloured with mists added meshy stuff , some hesian and a anchor flair and stamped, fussy cut and coloured some feathers ( I have tried to create a little seaside scene ) The flairs are from Funky Flairs Studio

I have used stamps and rub ons ( good to use old rub ons )

Thank You for calling by .

TIMES LIKE THESE ARE EXTRA SPECIAL ~ STUCK SKETCHES

Good Evening !
Tonight I would like to share a layout that I created for the challenge at Stuck Sketches. It seems now that the children have all grown and a couple of them moved away , it is near impossible to get a family photo with everyone in it. When I saw the sketch at Stuck Sketches I thought it was the perfect opportunity to combine two photo's that gives me nearly everyone in the family on one layout ( My daughter in law and Grand daughter are missing ) I did say it was near impossible though.
This is the sketch

Times like these are extra special

Those ticket stubbs are really coming in handy Lizzy
Flairs are from StudioFourteen40

The family chippy title is from A 2 Z Scraplets , I love the font and size of this word chippy. I have painted it black with a perlen Pen. As a community service I should probably let you know that A 2 Z Scraplets has a 25% Spring Sale on at the moment.

Thank you for calling by , I really appreciate and comments.
Wishing you a wonderful week.
